The Ride! Foundation is proud to announce a new fiscal partnership with Pique Racing, a women-led cycling team dedicated to elevating female athletes and rebuilding opportunities for women in elite cycling across the United States.
Pique Racing was founded in February of 2026 by Shanon Callan and Monica Merced, powered by their vision for the future of the sport and in response to a growing challenge within American cycling: the recent loss of women's elite racing teams and opportunities for female athletes to compete at the highest level. Despite being a newly established team, Pique Racing has already made significant strides. Their athletes have earned numerous podium finishes across criterium, road, and gravel races, demonstrating both competitive excellence and the potential for continued growth. As the team looks ahead to 2027, its leadership is focused on expanding its roster, increasing race opportunities, and creating a sustainable pathway to racing the next generation of female cyclists.
What makes Pique Racing especially aligned with the Ride! Foundation's mission is their commitment to community and athlete development. Beyond race results, the team actively hosts community rides and coaching events that help women transition from social rides to competitive races. By creating welcoming entry points into the sport, Pique Racing is helping break down barriers that have historically limited participation and advancement for female athletes.
Women's cycling thrives when athletes have both opportunities to compete and a supportive community that facilitates and encourages growth– and Pique Racing is building both. We are honored to support their dedication to athlete development, community engagement, and competitive excellence for the upcoming year.
Through this fiscal partnership, the Ride! Foundation will support Pique Racing's efforts to expand programming, increase its support, and enable access to racing opportunities for more female cyclists. Together, both organizations are committed to strengthening the riding pipeline for female athletes and ensuring that women continue to have opportunities to pursue their goals in cycling at every level.
As women's cycling continues to evolve, partnerships like this play an important role in creating sustainable opportunities for athletes, fostering community, and inspiring the next generation of racers. The Ride! Foundation looks forward to supporting Pique Racing as they continue to grow and work towards shaping the future of women's cycling.
